Tools menu on Wikisource is missing items in mobile view (Community Wishlist/W551)

Description

In mobile view the Tools menu shrinks to a ... "hamburger" menu.

There are key items which are missing from the mobile menu, e.g.

https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/The_Outsider_(Samuel)

the only download option is Pdf. On larger screens you get a download button which gives 3 options (Epub, Mobi and Pdf). There it explictly says the Epub version is for mobiles, and Pdf is for larger screens. Yet on mobile we only offer the Pdf version.

On the source page the download options are entirely missing from the "hamburger" menu, e.g.

https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Index:The_Outsider.djvu

In my opinion all download options should be present in mobile view by adding the missing options to the "hamburger" menu.

Support I swear I've had a conversation with folks about how this should never be obstructed, but here we are. I'm willing to talk with folks who might be interested in making this happen. This is equivalent to obscuring the ability to reach mainspace on Wikipedia. I don't understand why this decision was taken. Sohom Datta (talk) 07:30, 29 June 2026
