Community Wishlist Survey 2019/Archive/Copy references to another property

Copy references to another property

YesY Solved

  • Problem: If I am entering data, for example in a lighthouse, I have to put the height, the opening date, the scope, the registration number, the location, etc. I take everything from the same source, but I have to provide the reference in each of the properties.
  • Who would benefit: It would benefit reliability and data collection with references from other Wikipedians.
  • Proposed solution: In commons there is a button to copy to all the photos entered the values of a photo. Here it would be the same, a button that allows to enter the data of that reference (url, date of access, website, etc.) to other properties.

Moin Moin Vanbasten 23, look into the gadgets there is a point "Copy source". Maybe that's what you're looking for. Regards --Crazy1880 (talk) 11:24, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I asked a programmer of the Foundation two years ago in Wikimania because it was not done and it seems that they worked on it ... :DDD Thanks and sorry. --Vanbasten 23 (talk) 11:36, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
