Recursive search in categories (deepcat) should not fail hard for big categories

Withdrawn by proposer (too many proposals)

  • Problem: Since this year it is possible to search for articles/pages/files in a given category including all it's subcategory. This has limits for categories with too many pages or subcategories – this is understandable and ok. However if these limits are hit because the category is to big nothing is returned. Instead the search should become more shallow.
  • Who would benefit:
  • Proposed solution: When the limits are hit reduce the number of subcategory-levels that are searched. Instead of seaching 5 levels deep, search then only 4, 3, 2 or 1 level of subcategories deep.
