Small Monobook CSS changes for Tablets and Smartphones in Desktop mode

Withdrawn by proposer (too many proposals)

  • Problem: Improve the use of the Monobook interface on Smartphones and Tablets
  • Who would benefit: Every mobile user that want to edit pages using the Monobook skin. Especially tables can benefit from this small enhancement.
  • Proposed solution: Add 10 additonal pixels in margin-top to easily allow using the desktop interface on Smartphones and Tablets. Only one single line needs to be added into the standard CSS style sheet. Change the standard Monobook CSS to add e.g. body { margin-top: 10px; } for Wikipedia and div#globalWrapper { margin-top: 10px; } for Wikidata.
  • More comments: The mobile skin does not allow for easily editing all parts and options of a page. Switching to desktop mode with the Monobook skin gives the user the same interface as on a laptop or desktop. Currently the top menu bar is too close to the address bar on a mobile device, so when a user wants to click on an menu option the address bar is inadvertently activated, and the menu options are not easily accessible.
