NoN community editing practice

  • Problem: If I have time, I work on Wiktionary. We add some of the words, phrases, proverbs, etc. that come to our notice to the Wiktionary. But sometimes it is said - 'It's not on the wiki, ...'! Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT aint for me either. My guess is that there are a lot of Bengali language researchers among the development volunteers of the wiki, who will research and edit all the new Bengali words, phrases, proverbs, etc. for adders like us.
  • Who would benefit:
  • Proposed solution: In addition to Bengali phrases and proverbs, at least one example needs to be given, [such as: "Raghab Boal" - many "Raghab Boals" will be caught if investigated.] So that the matter becomes clear to the reader / viewer. In this case, the wiki page design should be done in the same way. I can write examples if necessary.

আলোচনা/Discussion

  • Hello @Sumasa: thank you for your proposal. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me as if you were putting forward an idea for the community (how they should edit Wiktionary). On the other hand, The Community Wishlist Survey is dedicated for proposals which require engineers' contribution. Here, we are collecting wishes for tools like Watchlist Expiry or Global preferences. This is why I'm archiving your proposal. You are free to discuss with your community how the content of Wiktionary should be shaped. SGrabarczuk (WMF) (talk) 19:40, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
