Cross-referencing Utility for Films
- Problem: Users often access Wikipedia articles about films to look up actors and other personnel and see what other films these people have worked on. Though IMDb.com offers a comparable database, at present no utility exists for cross-referencing personnel.
- Proposed solution: The proposed utility would allow two or more names to be input into a search, the result of which would show films that contained those personnel. The data afforded by this utility could otherwise only be accessed through painstaking manual crossreferencing.
- Who would benefit: Researchers who study films in which specific combinations of personnel appear, including actors who appear together but also less likely but potentially significant combinations like a certain actor and cinematographer. Fans who are curious to have an insider perspective on the behind-the-scenes world of film personnel.

Discussion
- This seems like it could be done with a Wikidata query today. --Izno (talk) 19:45, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
- I agree with Izno. This sounds like a special case of a more general need to have a user-friendly browsing/query interface for Wikidata. Silver hr (talk) 18:26, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
