The World Monuments Fund World Monuments Watch lists all sites in Iraq as in danger, additionally 4 sites are listed on the List of World Heritage in Danger.

  1. Ashur (Qal'at Sherqat)

  4. Old City of Jerusalem and its Walls

Immovable cultural heritage management in Iraq[edit]

A list of built cultural heritage in Iraq exists at the State Board of Antiquities and Heritage (SBAH), two books hold the built heritage register of Iraq:

  • Book printed in 1970 comprising a register of archaeological/heritage sites in Iraq
  • Book printed in 2016 comprising a national register of sites not included in the 1970 register.
