- Short description
Above the central square of Novi di Modena, a town in Emilia-Romagna region (Italy) there was a civic tower (Torre Civica): in 2012 it was one of the symbols of the Northern Italy earthquakes.
It was built in 1750s close to the entrance of the ancient village. The tower was restructured in 1920s with the addiction of the four clocks.
On 29th May 2012, during the earthquake in Northern Italy, it was badly damaged and it collapsed on 3rd Juned 2012 after a new earthquake.
