Sadik Shahadu[edit]

Sadik is a project manager, researcher and Co-Founder of the Dagbani Wikimedians User Group. He is currently serving as the West African Indigenous Language Coordinator at Art+Feminism, a steering committee member of the Wikimedia Language Diversity Hub, and have previously served as a volunteer on the Wikimedia project grants committee. Outside the Wikimedia community, he is a Mozilla Open Leader X fellow, a MozFest wrangler and ambassador for the Mozilla festival 2022.

In addition to that, he works with several open leaders and OER experts on the UNESCO 'Open Education for a Better World' program as an advisory board member.

As a researcher and digital language activist, he works with individuals and organizations interested in digitizing indigenous languages and cultures on the internet. He was a program facilitator and panel chair for Hack4OpenGLAM at the 2021 Creative Commons global summit

Yussif Abdul-Rasheed[edit]

Abdul-Rasheed is a teacher by profession, a team member/ co-founder and Grants Manager of the Dagbani Wikimedians User Group. He is a member of The Europeana Network Association (ENA) and an event organiser at Art and Feminism. He believes in making knowledge freely accessible and contributing to free knowledge hence a Wikimedian he is. Abdul-Rasheed contributes to Wikimedia projects as user:Din-nani1 since 2015.

Khadija Iddrisu[edit]

Khadija Iddrisu User:Dhee Jah is a team member of the Dagbani Wikimedians User Group as well as the IT Manager for the Dagbani Wikimedians User Group. She is responsible for the development and maintenance of the User group's Website as well as promotion of its projects by designing flyers. Khadija has also participated in organizing some projects for the dagbani wikimedians user group including the My Northern Achievers Contest, WikiLoveSEarth2021 and WikiLovesHumanRight. Outside Dagbani Wikimedians User Group, She is currently working as a Data Scientist and a Regional Ambassador for the Mastercard Foundation Alumni Committee.

Alhassan Mohammed Awal[edit]

Alhassan Mohammed Awal is the Communications, Outreach, and Campaigns Manager for Dagbani Wikimedians User Group. He contributes to organizing many Dagbani Wikimedia projects and playing other leading roles in executing those projects. He serves on the jury team and as well as a lead coordinator for many of the Wiki loves projects for Dagbani Wikimedians User Group. He was a speaker and a volunteer in the communication team for WikiIndaba 2021, a virtual conference hosted by Uganda. He is a member of Translators Without Borders and participates in various Wikimedia translation projects from English into Dagbani. He is interested and committed to learning from and contributing to the Wikimedia Technical community. He is also a self-motivated Digital Language Activist interested in using various Wikimedia tools such as Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wiktionary, and any other Digital language support tools available to facilitate his language activism work on the internet. He wants the Dagbani language to go global and fill up every available digital space. He envisions having the Dagbani language recognized by all search engines on the internet. He hopes to have Dagbani speakers begin reading and writing content in Dagbani on the digital spaces with ease and get all Dagbani content made available, accessible, and free to use on the digital platforms. He also hopes to achieve the same for all 16 Mole-Dagbani sub-ethnic groups. Outside of the Wikimedia community, he is an educationist and a mentor providing services to young and upcoming teachers and students. He is an activist for child rights and girl-child education. He has a passion for writing and volunteerism.

Fuseini Musah[edit]

He is named Musah Fuseini (User: Musahfm), a native of Tamale-Ghana and a Dagomba by tribe. He is a teacher by profession; and teaches Dagbani. He is an indigenous language activist and loves writing, especially in Dagbani. He is a prolific editor on Dagbani Wikipedia and Wikidata. He contributed immensely towards migrating Dagbani Wikipedia from the incubator onto the mainstream Wikipedia on 1st July, 2021. He is currently a team member of the Dagbani Wikimedians User Group; he is a co-facilitator in Dagbani Wikimedians' tele-education program on TV dubbed Dagbani Wikipedia Saha. He is also a project lead for Moore Wikipedia (incubator). Moore is one of the 16 Mole-Dagbani languages that the Dagbani Wikimedians Usergroup seek to promote on wikipedia and it's sister projects.

He is passionate about promoting the Dagbani language with a strong commitment to making it very visible on the internet space and thus, saving it from going extinct. He therefore, wholeheartedly, welcomes any opportunity aimed at achieving that.

Fuseini Mohammed Kamal-Deen[edit]

Fuseini Mohammed Kamal-Deen is a facilitator and trainer at the Dagbani Wikimedians User Group. A project lead and technical support officer at the Gurenɛ Wikimedia Community. Contributed to Wikimedia foundation under username User:Dnshitobu. A co-facilitator in Dagbani Wikimedians' tele-education program on TV dubbed Dagbani Wikipedia Saha. Passionate about maps, he has championed a lot in that regard. He is a professional teacher with a background in Information technology and a volunteer for many other community organisations. A poet by passion and serves as a guidance coordinator in unearthing potentials. Recruits and provide ICT training for students in Ghana.

Khadijah Abubakari[edit]

Khadija Abubakari is a young lady who has an interest in community development. She is a peer educator, a mentor, and a professional teacher who works with Ghana Education Service. She has helped executed so many fruitful projects of which dagbani Wikipedia is part of. She is a member of the Dagbani Wikimedians User Group She contributed to Wikipedia foundation and its projects with the user name Abubakari Khadijah. Khadijah is a fluent speaker and articulator. Being a part of the user group has challenged her writing ability which has also helped improve her writing skills. She uses every opportunity to learn new experiences. Khadijah Serves as the Communications Lead for the User group that is responsible for both internal and external communications of the user group. Khadijah in her little efforts has contributed to many Wikipedia projects, most especially projects related to Dagbani. She is also conversant with translating writings to Dagbani and vise verse. Khadijah loves to Network cautiously, read, watch educational programs, take advantage to make her voice heard, and traveling, and explore new places and scenes.

Zakaria Raha[edit]

Raha Zakaria is a young lady who is passionate about the development of young people especially in the sector of education. She has been actively involved in volunteering activities for a long time. Raha Zakaria believes that every young person should have the opportunity of an excellent education, which motivated her to educate young people in the area of ICT. She likes reading.For the love she has for education, she is part of a team who’s vision is to see every child in Ghana have access to an excellent education by 2050. Raha Zakaria have been part of the Dagbani Wikimedia User Group as a volunteer and now the logistics lead. She has contributed in some projects including English Wikipedia, Wikidata, Dagbani Wikipedia etc. She has developed interest in blending education with Wikipedia to give students an understanding of Wikipedia and how they can use it for their academic work. Raha Zakaria believes that “when knowledge is shared, we all learn, and we learn to improve ourselves and our communities “
