Background[edit]

Databox visibility on Wikipedia is an event aimed at improving articles on the Igbo Wikipedia. This improvement will enable more information about the article or subject through data boxes. The data box works like the Databox that is seen on the right corner of an article on English Wikipedia or other language Wikipedias.This event will end with a contest and winners will be awarded prizes.

Learning goals[edit]

At the end of the event, participants will understand how translating Wikidata properties, labels, description, and aliases work on the Igbo Wikipedia. Participants will also know how to:

  • Insert Wikidata powered databoxes to articles on the Igbo Wikipedia.

Post-event[edit]

  • Review of edit: After the event, the items created and added will be reviewed and cleaned up.
  • Contest winners will be announced.
