ESEAP Hub/Governance/Community Connector

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Overview

[edit]

The ESEAP Community Connectors, or ECC, are a trusted group of ESEAP Wikimedians authorized to represent communities in Hub affairs and serve as the candidate pool and electorate for electing the members of the ESEAP Steering Committee (StC). There are no terms or term limits to becoming an ECC.

The responsibilities of ECCs include:

  • Community collection: ECCs collect community requirements and needs for the Hub.
  • Implementation proposal: ECCs may create implementation proposals (with the involvement of at least one StC member) and request the StC to include them in their work.
  • Participation and mobilization: ECCs actively participate in discussions on Hub affairs and encourage community involvement in Hub decision-making.
  • Micro-authority: Rules may be established to grant Community Connectors certain micro funds and authorities to enable their work.

Members

[edit]

There are currently 16 ECCs. The initial batch of ECCs were pooled from the members of the now-defunct ESEAP Preparatory Council.
