Introduction: My name is Sarawut Khamset, though it is fine to call me Liam. My home wiki is the Thai Wikipedia, where I have previously served as an administrator. I am an active member of Wikimedia Thailand and have served as a member of the ESEAP Regional Funds Committee since August 2025.

Movement contribution: While my current account was registered in 2021, my journey within the Wikimedia movement tracks back to 2009 under my previous account, P.Liam (talk · contribs). As of the nomination date, my accumulated global edit count stands at 12,861 edits, primarily focussed on the Thai Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. I remain highly active, having contributed approximately 2,500 edits globally over the past year alone.

Governance experience: My governance and leadership experience spans both regional committee work and on-wiki administrative responsibility:

• ESEAP Regional Funds Committee (August 2025 – Present): Serving on this committee has given me direct insight into regional funding mechanisms, resource allocation, and the diverse needs of different ESEAP communities.
• Affiliate Co-ordination (2024 – Present): I regularly co-ordinate online outreach events and support administrative alignment for Wikimedia Thailand, stepping in to facilitate regional hub communication.
• Thai Wikipedia Adminship (July 2025 – March 2026): During my tenure as an administrator, I managed routine maintenance, resolved disruptive editing, and successfully spearheaded the localisation of The Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive learning programme, to improve newcomer experience.

Statement: I wish to become an ECC to bridge the gap between editors and the ESEAP Hub. My goal is to ensure regional support translates directly into tangible local impact. Furthermore, as I am going to study in the UK this September, I aim to use this opportunity to explore and build cross-regional collaborations, particularly within the education sector. I hope to connect the ESEAP Hub with international academic networks and educational initiatives, opening up new pathways for knowledge sharing, research, and community growth.
