Self Introduction
  • Organizational Experience:
I've been a Wikimedian for six years, working on article writing, counter-vandalism, and copyright investigation. I'm an English Wikipedia template editor, new page reviewer, rollbacker, and pending changes reviewer. Aside from on-wiki work, most of what I do nowadays is technical development work (making and maintaining bots, gadgets, tools, extensions, and scripts), and I frequently work with many different software developers within the movement's technical ecosystem.
I've been actively involved in movement activities since the ESEAP Conference in 2024. In the aftermath of the vote for the ESEAP Summit's venue, I joined the core organizing team of ESEAP Strategy Summit 2025 in Manila, acting as the communications lead and later assisting with many roles to ensure that the event ran smooth. I'm also part of the Programme Committee for the upcoming 2026 ESEAP Conference. For over 3 years, I've been the project lead for the 10nm team, a group of Wikimedia developers that work on Ultraviolet and RedWarn, both widely-used counter-vandalism tools. I've also been an administrator on the Test Wikipedia since December 2023. I'm a contract translator for the Wikimedia Foundation and I was a contract software engineer for three months earlier this year for the 2024 Moderator Tools "Nuke" project. Since this year, I've also had MediaWiki code merging rights and became a member of the ESEAP Regional Funds Committee.
Outside of the movement, I've served as the technical lead and commissioner of my school's Commission on Elections, where transparency and integrity were top requirements. I also served as a member of the technical committee for Google Developer Groups on Campus Mapúa University – Manila, Philippines from January 2024 up until August 2024. I was also previously a student representative at the Philippine Science High School – Cagayan Valley Campus Student Council, and also served as commissioner for its Commission on Elections from 2017 to 2022.
  • Work/areas of ESEAP Hub I am interested in:
As a result of my attendance at the first ever Wikimedia Youth Conference in 2025, I have been helping other youth members in the region set up a youth initiative for ESEAP. We plan to set up support structures for the youth in the region to be able to build partnerships, develop skills, and collaborate. In this case, I believe it's in our best interest to have someone represent the youth as part of the ESEAP Hub to ensure that the voice of the youth is heard and that we have a concrete, strategic direction as an initiative.
