ESEAP Strategy Summit 2025/Report/Aliceinthealice
Alice Woods, Education and Projects Officer at Wikimedia Australia, participated ESEAP Strategy summit 2025
Things learned at the strategy summit
[edit]- It was wonderful to connect with people at the ESEAP Summit and learn about how different and similar the regions are.
- I am always inspired by representatives from other regions and their passion and getting insight from them about how they connect with contributors in their region.
- Australia would love to connect with younger Wikimedia editors and encourage more young people to contribute and is always looking for advice about how to do so
- I was also able to learn a lot about what was happening with the ESEAP Hub and the structure of this
Participation
[edit]- I attended all of the talks and sessions I was able to and attended the social events
- We were greeted so warmly by Wiki Society of the Philippines who hosted us so well!
Plans after the strategy summit
[edit]- Am inspired by all of the GLAM Partnerships and translation work happening. Wikimedia Australia would love to work with other parts of the region to increase its representation on English Wikipedia and vice versa (of course not just limited to Wikipedia!)
Comments/Suggestions
