Diamatino Soares, Individual contributor for Wikipedia Tetum. First of all, I would like to convey my gratitude and thank the Wikimedia Foundation for granting me this scholarship to participate in the ESEAP Strategy Summit 2025, which was held in Manila, Philippines, from 23 to 25 June 2025. This is my first experience attending a regional conference for the ESEAP after missing the ESEAP Conference in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, 2024.
Pre-Summit
[edit]After receiving the scholarship notification from ESEAP Strategy Summit 2025 and knowing that I will go alone to attend the conference to represent Wikipedia Tetum and Timor-Leste. I started to prepare all documents required during the trip, including applying for a visa as well. Besides that, I began to find tourism sites, delicious cuisines, and unique public transportation in the Philippines.

Comments and Suggestions
[edit]I personally found this summit was well-organized, excited and insightful in terms of the accommodation, venue for the conference, time management and materials for the presentation which quite essential and interesting. For the suggestion, kindly expect that in the future could provide open learning space for newbies how to write an effective proposal for grants and the techniques of writing good articles on Wikipedia.
