My activities
[edit]Before travelling
[edit]I worked at night of previous day, and packed my baggage for five days, and registered eTravel.

[edit]This day was transport day. I left Japan from Kansai Airport at this morning. The airplane was shook a little, but I arrived at NAIA almost on time.
I picked up the buggage, and exchange the money to PHP, and I got outside the airport, a staff member was waiting for me and I was able to catch a Grab without any problems.
After checking into the hotel, we worked in our rooms, and in the evening we met up with the other members from Japan for dinner.

Things learned at the strategy summit
[edit]This summit reaffirmed that Wikimedians in the ESEAP region are moving toward thinking about things and making decisions on their own. Considering that there are some forces in Japan that are opposed to focusing on DE&I, and that lobbying government agencies as part of advocacy activities can easily lead to backlash, I felt that it would be good to strive to create an environment where minority opinions are not excluded just because they are minority opinions.
Things the participant contributed or participated in or since the strategy summit
- At the "Open Source Conference" held for IT engineers involved in open source software, I gave a report on the ESEAP Summit with User:Wadakuramon.
- At the same conference, I introduced the contents of next year's ESEAP Conference and called for many people from Japan to participate.
Plans after the strategy summit (from what was learned or contributed in the strategy summit)
- As we have already done, we will increase the opportunities to introduce the Wikimedia movement at conferences and other events, and involve people who are currently just viewing Wikimedia, as well as those who have edited but have since moved on, in the Wikimedia movement.
Comments/ suggestions about the strategy summit
- We have received many requests to hold a summit like this one in Japan, but the current User Group members alone do not have enough manpower to act as organizers. Fortunately, we have heard from other open source software communities and map information communities such as OpenStreetMap that we can cooperate, but we would appreciate any advice on how to involve them.
