Abstract:
This interactive session will engage participants in a hands-on activity to explore the importance of skill-sharing and collaboration in the Wikimedia global movement through various themes and initiatives. Through a dynamic exchange exercise, attendees will experience the challenges of finding the right skills and learn how a structured platform like Capacity Exchange (CapX) can streamline this process.

For volunteers and contributors building education programs with Wikimedia projects, skill-sharing is crucial for sustainability, mentorship, and capacity building. This session will highlight how educators, program leaders, and Wikimedia organizers can use CapX to find mentors, connect with experts, and strengthen their initiatives by efficiently accessing the right knowledge and resources. The session will conclude with a discussion on how CapX can support the Wikimedia movement in fostering stronger knowledge networks, sustainable education programs, and cross-community learning.
