Reviewing pending articles editathon with high school students in Albania

Summary: Wikimedians of Albanian Language User Group organized a focused editathon at the ICT classroom of Jeronim de Rada 9-year elementary school in Elbasan.

A group of experienced Wikipedia editors with patrolling privileges from various high schools gathered to review the pending articles on Wikipedia.

On May 3, 2025, for over 4 hours, they worked to review, verify, and improve contributions that had been awaiting approval, in some cases for a long time.

This was the second editathon, following up on the first one developed in December 2024. At the start of the editathon, the number of pending changes was 1,400. By the end of it, the number dropped to 980.

The event provided an opportunity for editors to discuss and review strategies, share experiences, and support one another in their contribution work.This initiative came as part of our ongoing efforts to support experienced contributors and strengthen the articles quality of Albanian Wikipedia.
