Wikivoyage workshop in Bulqiza
At this event, a group of high school students from Fushë-Bulqizë Combined High School and Nazmi Rushiti Vocational School took part in this workshop to learn the concept of free knowledge and how they can contribute to the open guide of travel destinations on Wikivoyage. Students learned how to create and improve travel guide-related content by researching destinations in Albania and structuring their findings on Wikivoyage. They created 3 new articles and edited 22 existing ones, highlighting Northern-Eastern towns and natural attractions from their region.
This collaboration between the Youth Center of Bulqiza and the Wikimedians of Albanian Language User Group was a practical introduction to open-source knowledge and digital engagement, while also promoting the visibility of North-Eastern Albania to a broader audience.
