Eighty-one (81) participants from three campuses attended the Introduction to Wikipedia Content Translation and English Wikiquote during the orientation of LitFest 2026 held online on February 16. Last December, university students from the College of Education, faculty members, and personnel from the University Extension and Services Office (UESO) and Knowledge Management Center (KMC) participated in the Intro to Wikipedia and Wiki Referencing Workshop, held at the main campus in Pili and via online.

Through the CBSUA Wiki Education Program for 2026–2030, CBSUA aims to create, enrich, and share accessible knowledge in English, Filipino, Philippine, and Asian languages through active participation in Wikimedia projects, advancing open knowledge, digital literacy, and cultural preservation across teaching, research, extension, and production.

Under the direction of Associate Professor Jerome Hipolito, the CBSUA Wiki Club serves as an extra-curricular organization for new contributors in the university. The organization aims to attract and develop new volunteers and editors, and to produce new or revised content through edit-a-thons.

The series of training and webinars on editing basics and adding reliable sources and relevant citations aim to teach the participants the proper adding of references and citations through the #1Lib1Ref, #SheSaid, Feminism and Folklore and other campaigns. Participants receive certification once they have completed the Wikipedia Training Modules.

During LitFest 2025: Cabinet of Curiosities, around 100 participants were oriented on Wikipedia and the Wikipedia training modules. At the end of the campaign, there were a total of 130 submissions from 53 participants in addition to the 476 articles created during the Feminism and Folklore 2025 in the Philippines campaign conducted from February 1 to March 31.[1]

The CBSUA Literary Festival is co-organized by the College of Education of CBSUA-Calabanga, PhilWiki Community, CBSUA Teacher-Education Students' Society, and CBSUA English Educators Hub.
