Celebrating Wikidata with the Nikola Koperniku High School students

Summary: Wikimedians of Albanian Language User Group organized a training session with the High school students where the students learnt about various introductory topics of Wikipedia.


A few months ago, Wikimedians of Albanian Language User Group developed a training session with the Nikola Koperniku High School. Last time, students learned how to create accounts on Wikipedia, translate articles using the translating tools, and do edits and citations.

In addition to that, the school principal wanted to follow up with other activities and training. Therefore, our group had a meeting with the director to discuss details of another event such as Wikidata’s 9th Birthday.

We held the Wikidata Birthday on October 29 (a sister project of Wikipedia). The workshop introduced students to using and editing Wikidata. In the end, students asked questions about Wikidata and how to further work on their own.
