Wikipedia Contribution with Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences Students in Kosovo

Summary: For the second consecutive year, students from the Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences actively contributed to Wikipedia by translating articles related to their field of study. This year, the initiative has expanded to two groups of students, reaching 80 students, who are working on topics directly related to their coursework.

The students are translating and improving articles on computer science and related fields, including subjects covered in their classes. This project provides a unique opportunity for students to publish their academic work publicly, creating lasting resources for future students and the broader public.

Why continue this initiative?

By engaging students in Wikipedia editing, we aim to bridge academic knowledge with public knowledge sharing, encourage collaborative learning, and develop skills in research, writing, and digital literacy. Expanding to more students this year shows the growing interest and impact of Wikimedia projects in higher education.

To celebrate their dedication and contributions, we plan to host a small appreciation gathering for the students upon completion of the project.
