Both teachers and secondary school students were actively involved during the official opening and will continue to participate in mentoring and learning activities. Students gain research, writing, referencing, digital literacy, and critical thinking skills, while teachers learn how to integrate Wikimedia projects into classroom and extracurricular learning. The program strongly advocates for open education by promoting the use and creation of free and open knowledge through Wikimedia projects in Rwanda. 了解更多…  During late November and December 2025, Wikimedia MKD implemented several key educational activities that highlighted the organization’s ongoing commitment to open knowledge, youth engagement, and collaboration with educators. It was not our first time, but we envisaged, this was special, and we lived up to it. From the online training to the physical event, we used the spaces to educate, learn new things, display our skills and share with the world. We worked on Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikivoyage and the translation of articles to the Igbo language. It was a collaborative campaign that was nationally organized by Agnes Abbah and Kemi Makinde in Nigeria. Professor of the History Department at UFJF, Mateus Rezende participated in the second edition of the Wikipedia mini-course for university professors in 2024. After completing the mini-course, he received support from the Mais+ Project team to develop an activity for editing entries related to the History of the Americas course. Since then, Rezende has been involved with the Mais+ Project and, in 2025, he taught the same mini-course he had taken the previous year. 了解更多…
