Read more… ![]() Over the last month, Wikimedia Chile launched the first Vikidia workshop in Latin America, introducing students to the world of collaborative knowledge building. In partnership with the Liceo Politécnico de Ciencia y Tecnología in La Cisterna, Santiago. As a result, half of Vikidia’s current Spanish-language editors are now students from this pioneering program. The initiative highlights a growing commitment to open education and marks a significant step toward integrating collaborative platforms into Chile’s classrooms. Through these events, they have the opportunity to learn how to write and edit original articles, to get acquainted with the principles of Wikipedia, and to find out information from different fields.
