Egypt Wikimedians User Group has held and organized numerous local, regional, and global conferences sponsored By Wikimedia Foundation , The user group has organized an annual conference (Wikimedia Egypt Conference) for Thirteen editions, In addition to organizing a regional conference like (Wikiarabia 2017), Many members of User group had also previously organized Wikimania 2008 in Alexandria, which helped them gain a lot of experience.

It also serves as an awards ceremony for the year, recognizing winners of photography and editing competitions, and honoring outstanding users. The conference includes several sessions featuring lectures and workshops. Additionally, the conference hosts an annual members' meeting and individual meetings with external partners to explore potential collaborations. We also utilize the conference as a platform to raise awareness about Wikimedia's activities in Egypt for Press and Media.

The Eighth Egypt Celebration Conference was held at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, on 31 July 2016.

Ninth Celebration Conference

The Ninth Egypt Celebration Conference was held at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, on 28 January 2017.

Tenth Celebration Conference

The Tenth Egypt Celebration Conference was held during the 3rd regional conference of WikiArabia Egypt 2017 on 23 October 2017 in Zamalek, Egypt.

Eleventh Celebration Conference

The Eleventh Egypt Celebration Conference was held during the Strategy Salon for diversity & Partnership at the Faculty Club– Cairo University, on 23 July 2020.

Twelfth Celebration Conference

The Twelfth Egypt Celebration Conference was held at The GrEEK Campus, Cairo, on 21 December 2024.

The conference activities included three sessions; the first to honor the winners of Wikimedia competitions, the second a symposium to celebrate the World Arabic Language Day, and the third session included an edit-a-thon to edit articles and a meeting for the Group members with members of the Group’s Board of Trustees.

Regional Conference

WikiArabia 2017

Wikimedia Egypt UG has organized WikiArabia 2017, the third annual meeting of participants from the Arab region, in Golden Tulip Flamenco Hotel, Cairo, Egypt, from October 23-25, 2017 to expose, discuss and share their experiences, ideas and perspectives on Wikimedia projects in the Arab countries.
