Egypt Wikimedians User Group/Editathons/Wiki Med Workshop II
20 November 2025 - 25 April 2026

Egypt Wikimedians User Group (EWUG), through its initiative of Wikipedian Editor Project, organized an online workshop of Wiki Project Med intending to attract students, graduates, or anyone interested in medical content from Egyptian universities and the Arabic-speaking community, the workshop focuses on teaching participants the fundamentals of editing on Arabic Wikipedia and its policies, then creating and developing medical articles, and introducing them to sister projects that support the development of medical articles.

The workshop began with an introductory meeting on Thursday, November 20th, to familiarize participants with Wikipedia and its projects. This was followed by three sessions so far, covering how to edit on the encyclopedia.

The workshop concluded with a closing ceremony held in Alexandria on April 25, 2026, which included honoring the participants and the top performers.

Among the workshop's outcomes, three participants, Nada3body, Menna Allah Abdallah and أروى غ, received editor status on the Arabic Wikipedia.

Participants in the workshop will receive a certificate of appreciation presented by EWUG after the workshop ends (a celebration will be held after the workshop ends in Alexandria to hand over certificates to those who can attend or send them via email to those who cannot).
