Egypt Wikimedians User Group, in collaboration with Adasa Photography Club, organized "Egyptian Folklore exhibition" on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Museum of Islamic Art, Cairo. The exhibition showcased the winning entries of the "Wiki Loves Folklore 2025 in Egypt" contest, which aimed to document Egypt’s rich cultural heritage through the lenses of professional and amateur photographers, while enriching Wikimedia Commons with high-quality, freely licensed images.

The event featured a remarkable display of the finest submissions, capturing traditional lifestyles, folk costumes, handicrafts, and authentic Egyptian rituals. The ceremony also included an awards segment, honoring the winners, distinguished contributors, and the judging committee members from Adasa Club.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Ahmed Sayam, Director General of the Museum of Islamic Art, accompanied by Alaa El-Basha, representing Adasa Club, Donia El-Domiaty, Manager of Wikipedian Editor Project and lead coordinator of Wiki Loves Folklore in Egypt with Samar Kamal.

Attendees toured the exhibition halls, where the museum director received a detailed explanation of the displayed photographs from Ibrahim El-Aidy and Alaa El-Basha. The event was also attended by members of Wikimedia Egypt, including Amr Fathy and Ahmed Naji.

The ceremony concluded with an awards distribution to the winners and honorary certificates presented to the judging panel and outstanding participants.
