To celebrate Wikipedia Day 25, the Egypt Wikimedians User Group held an online celebration on Thursday, January 15th. The event included the release of a short documentary about Wikipedia in Arabic and a live broadcast on the Group's Facebook page featuring several long-serving administrators and editors of the encyclopedia, including Ibrahim Elaidy, Walaa Abdel Manaem, Ahmed Naji, and Loka Shafeek. They shared insights into the secrets and challenges of volunteer work within the encyclopedia, as well as some amusing anecdotes and stories they encountered during their involvement. Time was also allocated for answering questions and inquiries related to Wikipedia.
