On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Egypt Wikimedians User Group (EWUG) organized a phototrip to Al-Saliba Street as part of the Islamic Cairo Documentation Project. Al-Saliba Street is a significant historical thoroughfare, home to palaces, mosques, and Islamic schools. The EWUG also visited some of the historical sites along the side streets branching off from AL-Saliba Street, such as Al-Suyufiya Street and Ibn Tulun Street. In addition, they visited two museums: Mostafa Kamel Museum and Gayer-Anderson Museum, as part of the GLAM activities.
The visit included administrators, editors, users, and professional photographers.
