De Europese Commissie overweegt het moderniseren van de Europese auteursrechtwetgeving. Om feedback en input te krijgen over deze modernisering publiceerde de Commissie een reeks vragen en vroeg organisaties (zoals de onze) deze te beantwoorden. Dit was een belangrijke kans om invloed uit te oefenen op de EU-auteursrechtwetgeving, en dus een belangrijke kans om de toekomst van de vrije kennisbeweging te beïnvloeden.
