Event:Africa WIki Women - Give to Gain 2026

Overview
[edit]Give to Gain 2026 is a program by the Africa Wiki Women organised in celebration of the 2026 International Women's Day to bridge content gaps of African women who have given to their local communities, the continent and the world at large especailly African women who are philanthropists, educators, women-based organisation CEOs and peace builders through the collaborative efforts of the community members.
This program is open to all, both newbie editors, experienced editors and female regional organisers

The program goal:
[edit]- Creating new articles about these women
- Improving and translating at least 70 articles about African women philanthropists, educators, peace builders
- Creating new Wikidata items
- Improving at least 100 Wikidata items about women in these field.
- Host an in-person event in any of these countries, Rwanda, Egypt, Cameroon,Uganda to train and empower new and existing editors to contribute to this program.
How to get Involved:

- Attend either the online training or the in-person session
- Create new articles or translate already existing articles to various local languages
