The Africa Wiki Challenge (AWC) 2025 Organisers’ Clinic brought together community organizers, affiliates, and project leads from across Africa to reflect on their experiences during the campaign and share strategies for improved impact and participation in future editions.

Several first-time organisers shared their experiences and learnings from coordinating the 2025 edition.
Participants explored the use of new language translations to increase inclusivity and local participation.
Discussions emphasised the importance of strengthening local collaborations to deepen community reach.
A strong consensus emerged on prioritising quality edits over quantity, ensuring impactful and verifiable content on Wikimedia projects.
Participants highlighted the continued need to increase women’s participation across campaign activities.
Suggestions were made to enhance local prize structures to encourage greater engagement and recognition at community level.
Future editions will aim to blend virtual and in-person training for organisers and participants.
