About
[edit]The AWC 25 local event seeks to engage participants in contributing knowledge and perspectives on the theme "Reclaiming Our Narrative: Justice for Africans and the Diaspora through Reparation." Members will contribute to the Ghanaian Pidgin, Twi, Ewe, Hausa, Fante, and Dangbani Wikipedia and on the other Wikimedia sister projects.
This year's topic strives to elevate the voices of people affected by past and present injustices and is in line with the African Union's campaign for justice and restitution.
By creating and improving information on Wikipedia that focuses on the historical, social, and political factors that influence the reparations issue, the initiative aims to improve global awareness of reparations and elevate the voices of Africans and their descendants.
