Event:Berom Wikipedia Outreach

Welcome to the Berom Wikipedia Outreach project page, an event being organized by the proposed Nenzit Wikimedians User Group in collaboration with the Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO) and the Tyap Wikimedians User Group (TWU). This event aims to recruit a new Berom-speaking wiki community to champion the translation of articles in the Wikimedia Incubator and Translatewiki. This is aimed towards creating the Berom language Wikipedia edition. This event is aimed at occurring between 5-6 and 12-13 July 2025.

Event Details

• Dates: 5– 6 and 12 – 13 July 2025.
• Venue: In-person @ BECO Secretariat, John Dankaro Crescent, Off Bukuru-Rayfield Road, Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria; and Online (YouTube Live via our handle).
• Status: Completed.

How to participate

1. Log in or Create a New Account.
2. Register yourself for this event. Go to the top of this page and click "Register for event" to register yourself after confirming that you've logged in already.
3. Attend the event in person or stream Live on YouTube on Saturday, 5 & 12, and Sunday, [ 6] & [ 13] July 2025.
4. Please join our Telegram group to get live updates and discussions.

Event activities

Here is what we aim to achieve:

Saturday 5, 12 July 2025:

• • Add or improve content in the Berom Wikipedia Incubator.
  • Activate the Berom Wikimedia User Community on Meta-Wiki.

Sunday 6, 13 July 2025:

• • Add or improve content in Translatewiki.
  • Create awareness on the Akai script for Nenzit languages.
