Focus of learning session

[edit]

Goal-setting feature released

[edit]

We’ll start with an announcement and live demo of the Group Goal Settings feature, which is now live and available across all Wikimedia wikis. This feature allows organizers and participants to track shared progress toward campaign goals directly on-wiki. We will conduct a live demo to show how it works.

New ways to promote events to editors

[edit]

The main focus of this session will be to share and discuss new prototypes to promote events on the wikis. We have multiple potential ideas that we have worked on, and we want your feedbackǃ Some early ideas for event promotion may include:

  • Promoting events on the watchlist that may interest the user
  • Promoting similar events on an event page
  • Promoting events that may interest editors based on their edit history

We’re especially interested in your thoughts:

  • Does this idea make sense for your workflow?
  • What would make it useful (or not)?
  • What concerns or improvements do you see?

This session is designed to be interactive so please come ready to share feedback, ask questions, and help shape the direction of these features.
