Event:EduWiki Workshop October 2026
Welcome to the EduWiki x VSN Workshop "Creating Safer and More Inclusive Wikimedia Spaces: Understanding and Applying the Universal Code of Conduct"!
This two-hour online interactive workshop is a collaborative session organised by the EduWiki Hub, the Volunteer Supporters Network (VSN), and the Universal Code of Conduct team. The workshop will explore how the Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC) applies to Wikimedia education, volunteer support activities, and other community spaces.
Participants will have opportunities to explore the UCoC through practical examples, interactive activities, scenario-based exercises, and discussion. The session will focus on helping participants recognise behaviours that may conflict with UCoC principles, understand available reporting and escalation options, and identify practical steps for creating safer and more inclusive Wikimedia spaces.
What will we explore?
