I extend my sincere appreciation for the Leadership & Event Management skills in Wikimedia in the Africa Great Lakes Region training. This program was an invaluable opportunity to enhance our capacity as Wikimedia community leaders and event organizers. Key Takeaways & Outcomes:
• Stronger Understanding of Wikimedia Leadership: Gained insights into Wikimedia governance structures and best practices for leading effective initiatives.
• Enhanced Event Management Skills: Acquired practical strategies for planning, executing, and evaluating Wikimedia-related events.
• Effective Contributor Engagement: Developed techniques to onboard and retain new contributors, ensuring sustained participation.
• Sustainable Community Growth Strategies: Explored methods to build resilient and thriving Wikimedia communities.

This training has significantly empowered me as a Wikimedia Rwanda Wiki Clubs Initiative Coordinator, and I look forward to applying these learning’s to further develop our local communities.
