Wikimedians of Kerala User Group was organized a Mangrove Photowalk at WTI Mangrove forest, Payyannur, Kannur, Kerala on 16 November 2026 in collaboration with Wilidlife Trust of India as part of State of the Map Kerala 2025 event. There were more than 30 participants from different parts of India. Staff from WTI explained about the Mangrove forest and different types of mangrove plants. V C Balakrishnan explained in detail about mangroves and how it affects our ecology and biodiversity around mangrove forests.
