Newsroom to Commons is an outreach initiative aimed at introducing Wikimedia Commons to journalists, photographers, and media contributors. This one-hour online training session will help media professionals bring their newsroom experiences and photographic contributions to the open and global platform of Wikimedia Commons.

- To explain Creative Commons licensing clearly
- To empower media contributors to make their photos available for global reuse with proper credit
