Wikidata Islamic Civilization Contest
Enriching open linked data on the history, science, art, and literature of the Islamic world

The contest runs from September 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026. Only edits made during this period by registered participants will be counted on the leaderboard.
Yarışma Hakkında
Objective
To increase the quantity and quality of structured data on Wikidata relating to important Islamic heritage buildings around the world, documenting historical mosques, palaces, citadels, madrasas, and architectural monuments.
Participation Requirements
Participation is open to anyone with a Wikimedia account. New Wikidata contributors are highly welcome!

Kurallar

- Katılım tamamen bireyseldir. Kurumsal veya ortak hesapların kullanımına izin verilmez.
- Tamamen otomatik botlar kullanılarak yapılan değişikliklere, özellikle onay verilmediği sürece, izin verilmez. QuickStatements gibi yarı otomatik araçlara izin verilir, ancak bunlar dikkatli bir şekilde kullanılmalıdır.
- Jüri, kuralları ihlal eden veya Wikidata tartışma sayfasındaki uyarıları dikkate almayan katılımcıları diskalifiye etme hakkını saklı tutar.
- Yalnızca yarışmanın üzerinde mutabık kalınan kapsamına (İslam medeniyeti, tarih, mimari vb.) giren öğelerde yapılan değişiklikler puanlamaya dahil edilir.

- Participation must be through a registered Wikimedia account; anonymous edits are not allowed.
- Participants must enroll their username on the Outreach Dashboard.
- Using multiple accounts (sockpuppetry) will result in immediate disqualification and withholding of any prizes.
- Participation is strictly individual. Institutional or shared accounts are not accepted.
- Automated edits using fully automated bots are not allowed unless specifically approved. Semi-automated tools like QuickStatements are also prohibited; any use of them will be excluded from the contest.
- The jury reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates the rules or ignores warnings on their talk page.
- Only edits made to items falling within the agreed scope of the contest (important Islamic heritage buildings, historic mosques, castles, madrasas, monuments, etc.) will be counted.
- Participants must adhere to the Universal Code of Conduct and Wikidata's community guidelines.
- The jury's decisions regarding point calculations are final.
