How do you find what you’re looking for on Wikipedia?
Wikimedia CEE Hub, in partnership with the Wikimedia Foundation, is pleased to invite members of the CEE Youth Group to participate in a discussion session on Semantic Search, a new project dedicated to improving search functionality on Wikipedia using machine learning technologies.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 8 at 4 PM UTC (check your local time here) on Google Meet.
The workshop will be conducted by Eliza Blackorby, Movement Communications Specialist for Product & Tech, who works closely with Wikimedia Foundation Product and Technology Department to support the Wikimedia communities and their projects.
The session will start with a short introduction to what semantic search is and how the Wikimedia Foundation's Product & Technology Department is working to improve search on Wikipedia. After that, the floor will open for discussion, where you will be invited to share your questions, ideas, and feedback on how search and wayfinding could be improved.
