Event:SheSaid 2025:Women Leaders and Entrepreneurs

Introduction
[edit]
Across the world, women leaders and entrepreneurs are driving innovations, building sustainable businesses, and leading grassroots development. Their contributions have been vital to global progress, advancing Sustainable Development Goals such as Gender Equality (SDG 5), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10). Through the words of these women, countless young women have been inspired to pursue their leadership paths.
'SheSaid 2025: Women Leaders and Entrepreneurs aims to make women’s voices more visible and impactful on Wikiquote. While many women leaders and entrepreneurs already have well-documented biographies on Wikipedia, their quotes that can inspire and empower are missing from Wikiquote. Through training, mentorship, and community, this project seeks to close the gender content gap and build a stronger network of wikiquote contributors.

Tracking and Metrics
[edit]- Hashtag tracking (Hashtags Tool): https://hashtags.wmflabs.org
- Click Here to access the program dashboard and track your contributions.
- red lists: Our research reveals that over 300 notable women leaders and entrepreneurs, each with a Wikipedia page, are currently either absent or needs improvement on Wikiquote Redlist. This lack of representation diminishes the recognition of their work and limits their ability to inspire others through their powerful words.
