Event:WFHR 2025 Yoruba Wikipedia Training
Yorùbá Wikipedia Training for WikiForHumanRights 2025 in Nigeria Overview
The Yorùbá Wikipedia Training is a key part of the WikiForHumanRights 2025 Campaign in Nigeria, a nationwide effort to promote awareness and action on human rights, environmental protection, and sustainable development through open knowledge.
This training aims to empower Yorùbá-speaking contributors to use Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects as platforms to share knowledge about the environment, climate change, and the right to a healthy future.
Aligned with the campaign theme “Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now,” the training will help participants document local stories, translate vital information into Yorùbá, and ensure that the voices and experiences of Yorùbá-speaking communities are represented in global conversations about sustainability and human rights.
