Coordinate Me 2026

Abstract/description

COORDINATE ME 2026 is an international Wikidata competition around content with geodata – from villages and hospitals to public art and natural monuments. Its goal is to improve or create Wikidata items which have a coordinate location (P625) property, in a range of focus countries. In 2026, Australia will be one of those focus countries.

In this session we will guide you through adding geodata to Wikidata, explore some of the resources and tools available for finding Australian specific content and how your edits will contribute to the 2026 campaign.

The competition runs from from 1 May 2026 to 31 May 2026.
