Description

WikiForHumanRights 2025 in the Igala Wikimedia Community is a collaborative campaign focused on promoting the Right to a Healthy Environment and Knowledge for a Sustainable Future through open knowledge. The initiative will engage Igala speakers to create, improve, and translate content on Wikipedia and other Wikimedia platforms in both Igala and English, highlighting local environmental issues, human rights stories, and indigenous knowledge. Through trainings, edit-a-thons, and community discussions, the campaign aims to empower new and existing contributors while amplifying Igala perspectives on human rights and environmental sustainability
