Overview
[edit]Wiki Club Lira University is a student led organization within Lira university that promotes learning, collaboration, and knowledge sharing through active participation in Wikimedia projects such as Wikipedia, Wikidata, Commons, Wikisource, and others Wikimedia projects
This club is overseen by Wikimedia Community User Group Uganda with a main goal of empowering students and well wishers at Lira University to become free knowledge contributors rather than just consumers through creation of Wikipedia articles, translating articles to local language Wikipedia, uploading media files to Wikimedia Commons, among other ways of contributing, while strengthening free access to accurate, verifiable, and diverse information for global audiences at any time
THEME: Building the Wiki spirit in Ugandan universities.
