The Wiki Debates Office Hours – 01 is being organized to help both individual Wikimedians and Wikimedia affiliates understand the Wiki Debates initiative, ask questions, clear doubts, and learn how to participate in upcoming seasons. Two office-hour sessions will be held to accommodate different time zones and community availability.
About Wiki Debate
[edit]Wiki Debate is a global participatory, debate-style initiative designed to foster civil, structured, and research-driven discourse among Wikimedians. Organized in “seasons,” the initiative brings together individuals and affiliates from diverse regions to collaboratively explore and debate critical themes affecting the Wikimedia movement and the wider knowledge ecosystem.
Each edition includes moderated online debates where teams conduct collaborative research, present structured arguments, and share their perspectives before a neutral jury panel. Public voting also contributes to the final outcome. By combining research, dialogue, and friendly competition, Wiki Debate strengthens solidarity and intellectual exchange across the Wikimedia movement.
