The MENA Connect (WikiDiwan) Community call is a virtual platform for MENA Wikimedians to connect, share activities, updates, workshops, and meetups with a wider community audience who are contributing to the MENA Community and Arabic speaking Community. The call is hosted quarterly. Everyone is welcome to participate, share their community activities, and ask questions in the moderated discussions.
ABOUT THE NEXT WikiDiwan
The April edition of the call will invite the leadership of the Wikimedia Foundation, including the CEO, Bernadette Meehan, and CCO Anusha Alikhan, for a discussion with the MENA community on their Annual Plan (2026-2027).
The Annual Plan is the Wikimedia Foundation’s description of what we hope to achieve in the coming year. It includes not only the foundation’s Goals, Progresses and plan but also a summary of Global Trends that impact the present and future of our movement.
Some of you may have attended these Annual Planning discussions in the past or contributed to them online. We invite you to join us and share the MENA perspective in the Foundation’s planning.
