Wiki Loves Pride 2026 is a global campaign to expand and improve LGBT-related content across all Wikimedia projects, organized by Wikimedia LGBT+. It takes place throughout June, July and August in celebration of the International LGBT Pride Day.

How to participate

We invite you to participate by improving Wikimedia's coverage of LGBT-related content — creating, improving or translating Wikipedia's articles, uploading images to Wikimedia Commons and contributing to Wikidata.

1. Login to Meta with your Wikimedia username. If you don't have one, you can create it here.
2. Register to this event, using the Event Registration Tool on top of this page. You will see a blue button saying "Register for event". You can register yourself publicly or privately. If you register on this page, there is no need to do it again in any Wikipedia page connected to this contest.
3. Edit Wikipedia, Wikidata or Wikimedia Commons — and participate in our Wiki Loves Pride contests!
4. Join our activities, or contact yourself at wikilovespridewmlgbtorg.

Organize a local node

If you are interested in organizing a local Wiki Loves Pride node, please check this roadmap for organizers and let us know by filling in this form. Some financial support for local nodes is available, upon approval of proposals. Please submit your request before June 15th.

Local nodes could be panels, roundtables, edit-a-thons and community meetings related to Wikimedia projects and LGBT+ Pride history and parades.
