Wikicurious: Editing to the Beat Miami is happening on Saturday, August 30, 2025 hosted by WikiLatinos, Wikimedia NYC and the Miami-Dade Public Library. Calling all Wikipedia editors and aspiring editors, come join us to share in the experience of editing articles about Caribbean and Latin Music.
We'll learn about the history of the two musical styles (including from our special guest, Tito Puente Jr.), receive personalized training on how to use Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, and connect with likeminded people.
Whether you're a seasoned editor or new to the world of wikis, this event is perfect for anyone looking to learn, collaborate, and have a great time. Bring your laptop, and get ready to groove while simultaneously making a positive impact in the world of online knowledge sharing. We'll also engage with projects such as WikiProject Latin Music and WikiProject Latino and Hispanic heritage, and will encourage editing on both English and Spanish Wikipedia.
All attendees are subject to Wikimedia NYC's Code of Conduct.
